As you might already know, IELTS exam dates are offered 4 times a month, counting towards a total of 48 fixed tests in a year. The availability of test dates for IELTS General differs from that of IELTS Academic, as IELTS General is only available for a total of 24 dates in a year.
IELTS throws at you a lot of dates to keep track of. So in this article, we will cover upcoming IELTS test dates for the year 2023, and here it goes!
Before we jump into IELTS exam dates or IELTS exam fee, here is a quick introduction to both the IELTS test types and an insight into which one you should take.
IELTS Academic – IELTS Academic is taken by working professionals or students who want to pursue higher education at universities or institutes abroad. IELTS Academic has four sections, namely – Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. The academic IELTS exam fee is priced at INR 15,500.
IELTS General Training – IELTS General Training tests your English language proficiency in a more practical and everyday context. It is taken by people applying for a visa to migrate to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the UK or by students planning to study in high school or vocational training programs. It also has four sections, two of which are the Listening and Speaking test, which are the same as IELTS Academic in terms of format and difficulty. The General IELTS exam fee is also INR 15,500.

IELTS tests are generally conducted on weekends. Three of the four sections of IELTS, i.e., Listening, Reading, and Writing are held on the same day. While the Speaking section can be conducted on the same day or within the next 7-10 days, depending on the availability of the slots.
